StreetLink is a service that helps people who are sleeping on the streets by allowing the public to report them to local support teams. It operates across England and Wales and is run by homelessness charities with government support.
If you see someone sleeping rough and want to help, you can make an alert using the StreetLink website, mobile app, or by calling the helpline to share the exact location. StreetLink then passes this information to local outreach workers, who go out to find the person and connect them with services that can provide support, such as housing or food.
In London, StreetLink also offers a special phone line 0300 500 0914 where people sleeping rough can call to get direct help.
The main goal of StreetLink is to connect people who want to help with local services that can make a real impact on the lives of those experiencing homelessness. Submitting an alert is completely free, quick, and can be done anonymously if preferred.
Remember!
StreetLink is not an emergency response service. If someone requires urgent medical attention, call 999.
